It is very similar to Bourjassote Grise, only sweeter. It is medium to large sized with a solid dark strawberry pulp and purple-blueish colored skin. It produces a drop of resin blocking the ostiole which keeps insects out.

I-258 is an excellent Italian variety    A must have for all serious fig collectors
