KSU Benson TM - pawpaw

Hello!

I am a licensed propagator of KSU Trademarked varieties released from the Kentucky State University pawpaw breeding program. I have several of each of their varieties available but am only listing a few of each here at this time. This listing is for KSU Benson TM. See photos for the actual tree you’re purchasing. (Photos of fruits are various pawpaw varieties.) There is a lot of information available online about this variety. It is considered prolific and very high quality. It was grafted in the Spring of 2022 and is growing in a 12” pot to accommodate the taproot. I will ship trees on Mondays for any order paid by the previous Saturday night.

These pawpaws are just waking up and it’s a good time to plant them. Pawpaws are notoriously slow growing while young. But within a few years, they take off. “First they sleep, then they creep, then they leap.” They appreciate some shade while young. 

Generally speaking, I find pawpaws to be much tougher than advertised. They’re an amazing fruit bringing tropical flavors to cold climates and a worthy addition to any garden or orchard. At least 2 varieties are recommended for cross pollination.
