Description

This listing is for a well rooted and vigorous Bordissot Blanca Negra cutting in a 1 gallon pot. When you take a bite into this fig, you will be met with a dark, strawberry colored center with a sweet and rich berry flavor. Bordissot Blanca Negra is known to have a medium-high yield and a long harvest period, usually beginning in mid July and continues into November here Florida. This varieties closed eye makes it resistant to rain and pests which is a must have for the humid Southeast  USA.

Bordissot Blanca Negra is a Spanish fig, originally hailing from Mallorca where renowned fig grower, Montserrat Pons, tended it. You may be confused upon hearing the Spanish words for both white and black in the name of the Bordissot Blanca Negra fig,but the name refers to the beautiful purple and green striping on the skin of this unique variety. The fig is round, without a long neck and is medium sized. The plant’s leaves are usually 5-lobed but can also be tri or single-lobed.

The tree has been growing in my patio with daily sunlight and should be ready to up pot  on arrival. I suspect all my trees may have been exposed to FMV at some point, even the ones that show no signs. If this is a concern please do not purchase my trees.

I will usually ship on Monday’s to avoid post office delays over the weekend. Please be aware that’s the post office is a lot slower than usual. Item will be shipped USPS priority or UPS 3Day select but there have been instances when it has taken longer than a week to arrive, however that’s rare.

All my mother trees have come from very reputable sources from the fig community - Gardencrochet was the source of this tree and it is true to type. If there is ever a problem with the item upon arrival,  please make me aware and I will do my best to make it right.

Thanks for looking and happy bidding!!
