Angelito airlayer own roots

Angelito airlayer in a 1 gallon pot fully acclimated to the sun. I set the airlayer at the beginning of fall and allowed to overwinter in garage. I removed it from the mother tree in late February when it woke up and set in one gallon pot. It has been outdoors since then. Fully hardened off and ready for uppot. 

In my experience, airlayers tend to set and ripen fruit faster than trees grown from cuttings. Fruit flavor is that of an adriatic but sweeter than any in my collection. There is a lingering after taste that lasts several minutes. Medium fig with a very tight eye. It is vigorous and grows like a weed. It set many figs last year. I lost all but one to the birds. The one I picked for myself could've used another day or two but was so impressive that I will be placing the tree in a fruit cage this season.

This is my last airlayer I will be listing until summer or fall. The others were picked locally before I could list them.
