Rabbit manure is a convenient, pelleted form of fertilizer, for easy spreading over your garden beds or orchard plantings. It is not as smelly as other manures and is easy to handle. I like to think of them as time release capsules, as the pellets don’t completely break down right away. It’s a slow-release thing. As they do break down, they build your soil’s structure, improve the porosity, add stability, and hold nutrients for plants as well as other organisms in the soil. And I haven’t even mentioned how much red wigglers love rabbit poop! Rabbit manure It is not as smelly as other manures, is drier than poultry manure, and because it’s naturally in the form of little round pellets, it’s easy to handle and apply to the garden.

These versatile manure pellets can be used as a fertiliser in vegetable gardens, ornamental gardens and flower beds. They can also be used to top-dress lawns, and as a nitrogen source for composting to get a compost pile going. Rabbit manure is great for plants and can be applied fresh or dried, depending on your needs. Rabbit manure tends to be 2-1-1 (2% Nitrogen, 1% phosphorous, and 1% potassium) which is a nicely balanced blend that will encourage vigorous, healthy growth in your garden.

It is also filled with minerals and micronutrients like calcium, magnesium, boron, zinc, manganese, sulfur, copper and cobalt (just to name a few).

This Bunny Honey is considered the garden gold standard, and unlike other manures or chemical fertilizers, there is no risk of burning your plants' roots. Cow, horse and chicken manure are considered “hot” and need to be composted (well-rotted) to use as fertilizers. Bunny poo can be cycled through a composting system, but unlike other manures, it doesn't have to be. Rabbit manure has four times more nutrients than cow or horse manure and is twice as rich as chicken manure.

Rabbit manure is organic matter and improves poor soil structure, drainage and moisture retention. It also improves the life cycle of microorganisms in the soil; native earthworms in particular love rabbit Bunny Honey, and this will encourage them to colonize your planting areas more aggressively.
