Brooklyn White also known as honey-berry fig can be found in the fig flavor spectrum between yellow honey figs and green berry figs. The skins of honey-berry figs are green/yellow with light red or translucent pulp, darker than pink but lighter than red, partly honey partly berry flavored. Occasionally the pulp can range to golden or dark red. Mainly this pulp is light red, tasting more of juice than of jam. These figs have intense berry flavors of the full berry fig. Brooklyn white is the Queen of the honey-berry fig for short season growers.
This plant has been outside under sun and heat for the past few months. I assume all my plants have been exposed to FMV Fig Mosaic Virus. I spray my plants regularly with neem oil and recommended miticides. At a young age, fig trees can show more sever symptoms, but almost always, these young plants grow out of it with great nutrients and care. My plants do generally grow well and produce good fruit.
This tree will be shipped with the pot, but it may have to be cut a little to fit my 30 inch box. I will include what I cut in with the tree. Trimming it a little will not harm anything, instead it will make it grow more aggressively and be more bushy.
We ship out our plants Monday to ensure that there are no delays.
