Description

PLEASE NOTE:  All potted figs MUST BE bare-root shipped to TX, AZ, CA, NM, WA, OR, NV.  NO EXCEPTIONS.

Cold Hardy!  The Bari fig variety is a Mount Etna type fig originating from Bari, Italy and brought to the US by a member of the Armed Forces.  Shows extreme cold hardiness. Discovered in Willow Grove, Pennsylvania.  Although the mother tree was reportedly never protected, it has survived many zone 7 Pennsylvania winters, showing its hardiness. Cuttings grown in tree pots.  No fig pops.  Photo shows what the fruit will look like when it fruits.

NATURALLY GROWN – no synthetic pesticides, fertilizers, fungicides, neo-nictinoids, or other pesticides or toxic ag chemicals used at our nursery 

Site requirements: Full sun location. Figs will grow in a range of soil types provided the planting location is well drained. Protected locations, such as on the South, East or West side of a building is ideal.

Size at maturity: 8-15′, depending on location, climate and care.

Pollination: This fig requires no pollination in order to set fruit. Fruits are seedless.

Resistant to: Cold hardy. Ants can get interested in figs and heavy rains can make the current figs rot, so keep well-picked. Figs continue to put on new fruit constantly until frost.

Hardiness: USDA zones 7b-10. Winter protection in zone 6-7 is necessary.

Plant size: 1-2' Tall  'Medium' size
