Description

Very nice cuttings/logs as a result of being from in ground trees.  You will receive the 3 fat fig logs in the picture.  Fig logs this thick are getting to be rarer than Hen's teeth.  Jump the line to a faster maturing tree.  These logs are loaded with energy.  Many folks erroneously fear rooting large caliper cuttings due to the sometimes longer time to start rooting, however your patience is rewarded with massive root development that quickly exceeds it's thinner caliper counterparts.  With those thicker and far more advanced root systems your tree develops much faster.  How can we say this?  We have rooted thousands and thousands of cuttings using about every method possible.  While ALL cuttings will root and develop quality trees, when eager to try the fruit from a specific variety a thick log cutting can give you a full year or sometimes 2 years jump!  Who wouldn't want that?  Mother tree sourced from very reputable member of the fig community.

Pellegrino - A perennial favorite amongst visitors hear at Freedom Food Farm.  First thing that catches peoples eye is the size of these figs compared to many of their counterparts.  But boy, when these are dead ripe are they ever tasty!  Think LdA with a tighter eye and less splitting.  Tremendous fig.

Black Bethlehem - Was our earliest fig in 2022.  While I don't expect this every year, it was actually earlier than Teramo, RdB, and Florea!  Mid summer in zone 6B with full south west exposure.  Dry summer and high temps.  The harvest was as you would expect.  Nothing short of extraordinary.

Unk. Owensboro - All I can say is wow.  Some will say oh it's just another Mt. Etna type.  But this one is tough to beat.  Ridiculous productivity, no effort, cold hardy, early.  This fig should be a staple for every person just getting into figs to get their confidence up in the fig game.
