This is a seedling that was found near an old gold mining facility in Northern California .
The fruit from this tree bears a beautiful golden interior. The undertones are that of a light melon, such as an ambrosia. This fig is juicy and the texture is such that it could easily be spread as jam directly from the fruit. When cooked and warm, the jam retains a light natural fruit sweetness, and the flavor develops in to a taste and texture similar to a "no sugar added" applesauce.
Each purchase will come with a cutting of 6” or longer, and at least three nodes. This was a 2019 find, and for the sake of transparency, we cannot yet confirm if it is common. Cuttings have been set out of the area for growing and confirmation.
