These were grown from cuttings from a tree that in turn was grown from a cutting from Belleclaire#92. Maybe this means they are all Belleclaire#92- I'm not exactly sure how the taxonomy works. They are in pots that are about 5 gallons in volume. Their sister tree has few figs on it but it's in a bigger pot so my guess is if you get this into the ground or a bigger pot the figs will flow next year. I tried to come up with a decent price based on what I've seen on the market (upwards of $50 for nice rooted cuttings). Unfortunately, too big to ship, for me at least. I bought my cuttings from a reliable source and everything I can see on these trees checks out as Black Zadar including the fruit (flattened shape).
FMV? I have a moderate collection of trees and my guess is that there's FMV in this collection somewhere although they are all very healthy specimens. I do see some late season mosaicking of leaves on some trees but then again I don't have my fertilizing dialed in either. If it's paramount you avoid FMV then consider this information.
