This auction is for a rooted cutting from my Souadi fig tree. My tree was acquired from a reputable nursery in PA. My tree is two years old. I have confirmed fruit.
In general, it is a very beautiful fig, the taste is equally special. It is a strong grower and had little issues with this variety so far. The ripening period is middle to late in upstate NY. The production of fruit is average. This is partly due to some figs falling from the branches, this is not the same as the fruit being ejected. It looks like the figs are not as strongly attached to the branches as other varieties.
You will receive the tree in the images. This was a particularly strong and healthy specimen, I had a serious internal debate about selling this rooted cutting as I wanted to keep it in my collection.
Please acclimate your tree upon arrival. Place it in a partly shaded area, and wait a few days before changing to a larger pot. Do not disturb the root system as you can damage/hurt the tree, just plant it and let the tree do its thing.
