BUY IT NOW in a 3x8 tree pot.Is Belleclare #92 Black Zadar From Croatia..This is a very healthy young plant.This cutting was taken from my almost  20-22 year old original BELLECLARE #92 Black Zadar Fig Tree from Croatia.Always introduce new plants to their new growing environment.I purchased this variety for 49.99 as a rooted cutting in a 4 inch pot.I PURCHASED THIS VARIETY 20-22 years ago from my past dear friend and fig master Chris DiPaola and his brother Bill DiPaola.The owners of the famous Belleclare Nursery.Which was located in Plainview Long Island,NY.I miss the brothers and my trips to the nursery to hang around to learn from Chris and purchase fig trees.Chris was also a very generous human being.I never had a fig tree growing up in Brooklyn,NY.So many people did have fig trees in both the front and back of their homes.After my second visit to Belleclare Chris showed me the Martha Stewart video on an 8 track video tape on a small tv in the nurseries front section.At that point I was hooked.He did make me understand growing fig trees.USING THE POTTED CULTUR METHOD IS NOT FOR THE LAZY GARDENER.Boy he was so right.Then again he was always right.He also let me walk through his greenhouse at will to see all the different varieties rooting and young trees growing.He was also teaching me about growing figs.If anyone hasn’t seen the video from 1998 I believe.Just google Martha Stewart at the Belleclare Nursery you will love it and get to see the master giving Martha Stewart a tour of the BELLECLARE fig yard and a lesson about several varieties.He talks about his dads fig tree as he always did from Formia Italy 🇮🇹 off the coast of the Gulf of Gaeta Italy.Where the DiPaloa family lived high up in the limestone mountains.Chris and Bill DiPaolas Dad.Grew figs in Italy to sell at the town’s market.Mrs.Stewart purchased many varieties from the Belleclare Nursery.For her beautiful mansion house out in the very beautiful HAMPTONS.OUT ON LONG ISLAND,NY.WHERE TH VERY WEALTHY LIVE.AND STAY FOR THE SUMMER.

ZADAR is a very unique variety.Its a large flat squat shaped dark fig with a thick skin and a heavy filling with a  beautiful colored thick delicious pulp.To really appreciate the uniqueness of this variety cut it sideways like a bagel.My Zadar looks like a beautiful sun setting in the west as the photos show.Only lately has Zadar become in such demand.Why I could never understand.This is probably the best fig to let dry on the tree.Its thick skin shrinks and it becomes a gummy fig.Absolutely awesome anyway you can get them before the critters do.Chris would say as his original Belleclare list said.This one should knock your socks off.This is a very unique variety.I’m just learning  something .The last several years.As I’m seeing more Zadar plants for sale the last few years.Many where purchased from me.They all look the same on the outside.The pulp in every one I have seen is different inside.Extremely interesting variety.I understand growing conditions fertilizers and locations can effect the fruits appearance also the figs interior.BUT NOT LIKE ZADAR.The plant you see is the plant you will receive. It I assume all fig trees have or have been exposed to FMV.YOUR PLANT WILL SHIP PRIORITY MAIL.
