Description

This listing is for a beautiful specimen of KTJ- Sport Rooted Cutting in an 3x8 tree pot. This is not the same cutivar as the original KTJ and it is an absolutely outstanding cultivar. This cultivar along with a few others were absolute standouts on my summer visit back home years ago and now that I have fruited it here in Florida, in my opinion, it was the best tasting honey/ slight berry fig I have in my collection and I have quite a few. I came across this awesome fig while walking the country side where there are lots of KTJ Trees but this was slightly different than the rest. It had so much ripe fruit on it that the branches were drooping to the ground, more fruit than any other cultivar I’ve seen. This cultivar is also very vigorous and prolific, producing fruit on every node. The skin is softer than the Original KTJ and it melts in your mouth. It is just as sweet of not sweeter than the Original and can get much darker at times. It has a super tight closed eye that makes it a must have in humid environments plus it ripens considerably earlier than original KTJ making it again a desirable fig for areas with short growing seasons. In its native environment it produces a light breba crop in early June and main crop  starts ripening by second week of June as well and continues to ripen figs until early October.  The first fruit photo is from mother tree in Albania and the rest are fruit from my first year tree here in Florida. Fruit photos are from mother tree and also my tree. Absolutely stunning variety for rare tree collectors.

I suspect all my trees may have been exposed to  FMV at some point, even the ones that don’t exibit any signs. If this is a concern, please do not bid.

I will usually ship on Monday’s to avoid post office delays over the weekend. Weekday auctions will ship Thursday.  Please be aware that’s the post office is a lot slower than usual due to Covid 19 and lack of staff. Item will be shipped USPS priority or UPS 2-3Day select, but there have been instances when it has taken longer than a week to arrive, however that’s rare. If somehow the item arrives damaged please take pictures of both box and contents and make me aware.

If there is ever a problem with the item upon arrival,  please make me aware and I will do my best to make it right.

Thanks for looking and happy bidding!!
