Martinenca (not rimada), Well Rooted Cutting

Up for auction is a well-rooted Martinenca (not rimada) cutting in a 2 Gallon pot. This young tree is very healthy, vigorous, and growing nicely. This variety originates from Spain and can be found on page 168 of Montserrat Pons Fig Trees of the Balearic Islands book. The figs are dark in color and are said to be sweet, a little tangy, and have a hint of spice, almost like cinnamon or clove. This is the same as Martinenca Rimada but, reverted back to the variety that Martinenca Rimada originated. The figs do not have stripes. Rooted from a cutting from the mother tree on February 4, 2023 outside in moderate winter sunlight in Southern California. I obtained the mother tree from Fruitnut on Figbid.

This is a fig variety that does not require the fig wasps to produce ripe figs.

The tree may have FMV but it is very healthy and barely shows any signs of it. If there is ever a problem with receiving the item please make me aware upon arrival and I will do my best to make it right. Please take pictures of the packaging and the plant if it arrives damaged.
