Pastiliere Baud

"Pastiliere is a French fig that is medium size with very dark pulp, intense berry flavor, and moderately to very sweet. Very delicious common fig (not requiring caprification) that should not be confused with Unknown Pastiliere" - according to Harvey.

Pastiliere Baud supposed to be a small tree which is suitable for small gardens and containers. My Mother tree is in-ground tree (last two photos) for the second season. I would assume it's somehow hardy (zone 6) with protection, mine was covered with a fleece blanket, last winter it had dieback but it came back very fast with multiple branches, it shouldn't have dieback with better protection. Doesn't afraid of late spring frost. 

This airlayer is made last season and now it's in 2,5 gallon pot, ready to be repotted. The tree is very well rooted and acclimated to outdoor direct sun. You will receive the exact plant that is photographed. I guarantee this tree to be true to type. My mother tree came from a very reliable source.

I believe all my fig trees have been in contact with Fig Mosaic Virus.
