Rodgrod is a unique seedling discovered by Sacred Origin, originating in a neglected blueberry orchard in Northern California.

Rodgrod has an intense rich berry flavor when caprified.

Background:
Today I gave my guests a taste of a brown turkey fig and black mission and they said they were ok. Then I gave them a taste of this fig and asked them their opinion. Their faces lit up and they said this is the best tasting fig ever and that they had never tasted such a flavor in a fig, never knew it existed.

My guests are Dutch and have had many exotic foods from around the world and are very educated in exotic cuisine and various cultures.

I believe that you possess one of the most under rated fig varieties in the fig community. I grew this variety from cuttings which I purchased from you. I live in TN and my tree produced fruit with out fig wasp. the fruit had an amazing flavor as described, I have close to a hundred varieties and this fig wins the best in flavor, the fruit was different in shape it developed a long neck but retained the same color as your pictures
