Socorro Black - 1x Tree From Rooted Cutting

Excellent mid-season variety. Discovered in Socorro, New Mexico and a favorite among growers in hot climates. Extremely precocious in fruit set. Medium size fig with minimal amount of seed crunch. Skin is soft and greenish-purple with a deep red pulp. Internal cavity fills with syrup. Flavor profile - fruity sweet berry with high quality texture.

Sourced mother tree from FigDoctor (who sourced his from Fruitnut) on 06/2020. Mother tree grown outside. Rooted cutting outside late winter 2023. Planted into Happy Frog potting soil. Used Indian River Organics (2-3-1) liquid fish fertilizer. 1-gallon sized pot. Grown outside under shade tree in Zone 8A - Norfolk, VA. Healthy with one central leader. Tree photographed is the one to be sent.
