The Martinenca Rimada Fig variety originates from Spain, and produces beautiful striped figs that look similar to a Tiger Stripe or Panache fig throughout most of the fig's life. However, the Martineca Rimda figs turn from yellow/green stripe to a purple/red stripe color shortly before ripening, and will sometimes turn almost completely solid purple when fully ripe. Delicious sweet jammy berry flavor, the Marinenca Rimda figs are some of the best looking, and best tasting, figs. Self fertile, common fig variety, which does not require fig wasp pollination to produce ripe fruit.
