Description
| You will receive a fully rooted cutting of a fig tree -- I call it Brooklyn Purple. It is potted in a 4" size pot. The height of plant is 17" from the bottom of planter to the top of plant. I bought the mother tree at the annual plant sale of the Brooklyn Botanic Garden over 20 years ago. As you can see in the photos 1 through 5, the mother tree produces small-to-medium dark purple fruits. Fruits are deliciously sweet, but not too overly sweet. If you let them ripen on the tree, they taste like delicious fig jam. The tree produces 2 crops per year for me. Some of the fruits produce "honey." I took the cutting from the mother tree earlier this year, and this cutting is fully rooted and hardened off. Survived weeks of the extreme heat that we experienced here, and ready to be repotted into a larger pot!
