All my figs are container grown in Wisconsin.  You are bidding on 2 dormant unrooted cuttings of 'Longue d'Août'.

french fig farm says:

"This variety, commonly found in French nurseries, produces two different crops. The first crop figs are large and long. They are green, yellow and red on the outside and pink-amber on the inside.  The long crop ripens in early August, it is juicy and sugary sweet.  The second crop is more round in shape and darker in color outside and more red inside. It ripens in late August. We can taste melon and table sugar."

I’ve been growing and trialing figs in southwestern Wisconsin for 30 years. My focus was on container figs which will ripen in Wisconsin without a greenhouse, but now that I have an unheated hoophouse & I’ve been putting many varieties in the ground.

I run a Facebook group called NORTHERN FIG GROWERS which has 10K members.  I also sell cuttings of currants, grapes, elderberries, willows, kiwis and scionwood of pears and mulberries.
