Description

3 cuttings of Negronne fig, 6" or longer, will be cut from dormant trees fresh to order before shipping.

The photo is an example of cuttings but not the actual ones. Another photo is of some of my fig orchard. There is a picture of the fig if I have one.

Description:

Also known as Violette de Bordeaux, the irresistible fruit of the Negronne fig tree has sweet, dark red flesh, medium size, and very high quality. Bears at an early age. Although some say the tree is a natural dwarf, it grows very tall and large for us. It has two crops of succulent figs a year, and produces long into fall until the weather turns. Documented by fig historians since the early 1700s. Adaptable to coastal and inland areas.

Note: Cuttings will all be 6 to 8 inches, at least the thickness of a pencil, and have at least 3 nodes. The cuttings will be mailed dry in a plastic bag in an envelope. I will not wrap them in any moist media since this will damage the cuttings in case of a delivery delay.

This will not affect the rooting success. Rooting of the cuttings is fairly easy, please search online for suggestions and visit the popular fig forums.

Shipping is $6 for first class mail, paid with PayPal. I will combine shipping on any number of cuttings you win or buy at $1 extra shipping per additional item. All shipping for paid orders is on Monday and Tuesday no matter when you order or pay.

No international shipping, or to Alaska, Puerto Rico, or Hawaii.

I have been growing figs for more than 30 years, first in the central valley and now at my farm in the foothills of Watsonville California called Fruitilicious Farm. All trees are growing in ground in California, and are vigorous and productive. All are originally from reputable sources and have fruited in our climate. We specialize in  figs that grow well in coastal conditions: long but cool growing season with fog in the summer and heat in the fall, and mild winters with some light frost.
