Description

This listing is for a Cuvert grafted onto GM-153 and currently growing in a 1 gallon pot. This plant shows signs of FMV but growing rapidly and with proper watering, fertilization and sun, it  should grow out of it. This is a new cultivar that was introduced by Thierry  in France and It looks amazing.  My mother tree was purchased from Figbid and it was late in the season to ripen fruit last year but it is loaded this year and I cant wait to try them. Thierry describes it as "Cuvert (Entre-deux-Mers, France) is a large black fig with a very special and rare feature: the ostiole remains green in the majority of cases. This tree is very hardy because the branches froze in April and nevertheless it managed to bear fruit again. It may also indicate that the fruits would be larger in a normal situation. It is a very good variety for production: very fertile, very good branching (3 or 4 new branches if the terminal bud is cut in the spring) and fruits of good taste quality, a nice pulp and very resistant. A bright future for this fig” !  Look up Figbid history for photos and more info. Would make an excellent addition to any rare fig collection!!

I suspect all my trees may have been exposed to FMV at some point, even the ones that show no signs. If this is a concern please do not bid. Please check local weather to make sure it’s not below freezing during the bay before you purchase.

Plant has been growing in my patio under shade cloth so acclimation to sun needed. Also if you live in an area with frost please protect from extreme weather.

I will usually ship on Monday’s to avoid post office delays over the weekend. Please be aware that’s the post office is a bit slower than usual. Item will be shipped priority but there have been instances when it has taken longer than a week to arrive, however that’s rare.

All my trees have come from very reputable sources from the fig community and if there is ever a problem with the item please make me aware and I will do my best to make it right.
Thanks for looking and happy bidding!!
