This seedling was found in Anderson a town at very north end of the Sacramento Valley which has a high agricultural economy. The area had few large fig orchards which were removed in the 80s. The whole of Anderson Red can be describes as green with Red ribbed striations or completely Red with ribs when ripe which makes it a colorful addition to any fig platter. The interior flavor of the fruit has a familiar taste of cantaloupe, with a light seedcrunch.
all cuttings will be 6” or longer and have 3 nodes or more
We are testing outside of California for common.
