WOW.  Outstandingly tasty and rich strawberry flavor on this ancient heirloom green fig, with far better eating quality than most. Strawberry red pulp with a thick, rich, luscious texture and great sweetness and complex flavor. Top notch. A smaller sized fig tree. Fruits are medium-large, plump, and simply excellent. Birds don't notice this one as much due to the deceiving green/yellowish ripening color (not purple or brown, etc).  This fig does GREAT in the Deep South all the way to the Gulf.  It does not split or rot easily. Would thrive in warmer zones like 8-10.  It shows good cold hardiness, but winter protection and a warm, sunny site are always advised in zones 6-7 for figs. Don't miss this one! One of our very best. Also called 'Green Ischia' and 'Verte'. One of our very best.  Cuttings propagated in tree pots, no fig pops.  Photo shows what fruit will look like when it produces.

NATURALLY GROWN – no synthetic pesticides, fertilizers, fungicides, neo-nictinoids, or other pesticides or toxic ag chemicals used at our nursery

Site requirements: Full sun location. Figs will grow in a range of soil types provided the planting location is well drained. Protected locations, such as on the South, East or West side of a building is ideal.

Size at maturity: 8-15′, depending on location, climate and care.

Pollination: This fig requires no pollination in order to set fruit. Fruits are seedless.

Resistant to: This Deep South Fig is resistant to Sour Fig, fruit rot, nematodes. Figs are known for remarkable disease and insect resistance. Ants can get interested in figs and heavy rains can make the current figs rot, so keep well-picked. Figs continue to put on new fruit constantly until frost.

Hardiness: USDA zones 7b-10. Winter protection in zone 6-7 is necessary.

Plant size: 1-2' Tall  'Medium' size
