Description

Ficus Vasta is a cousin to the edible fig, Ficus Carica, and is said to produce edible figs as well.  This is considered a sub-species of sycamore fig aka Ficus sycomorus.  My tree produced some figs this year, but they ended up dropping.  Next year I am planning on trying to hand pollinate them to see if I can get some ripe figs.  Ficus Sycomorus, for which this is a sub-species, is graft compatible with ficus carcia, so I suspect that Ficus Vasta is graft compatible with Fius Carica as well.  I have had great success rooting cuttings of this variety using a mix of approximately 75% pumice and 25% Pro-Mix with the fig-pop method.  This listing is for 1 Cuttings, suitable for rooting or grafting.  Copper label included.
