About the auction item:
For sale is a well-rooted Angelito tree in a 4"x9" pot. It has been exposed to sunlight from the very beginning as I rooted cuttings in a sunroom without any cover. It can tolerate a wide range of temperature (45-75 degrees) and humidity (35-80%), which means an easier transition once this tree is introduced to a new environment.
Angelito is definitely a premier fig that has lived up to the hype. I have fruited and verified it in both 2022 and 2023. It has a very refreshingly sweet berry flavor with beautiful green skin and bright red interior. From my experience, this variety is also very productive as you can see from one of the pictures. I am growing it in the ground (Zone 7) and the first fig ripened on August 29 last season. It should ripen earlier when the tree ages. The original source was Evdurtschi.
