About the auction item:
For sale is a well-rooted I-258 tree in a 1-gal pot. It has been exposed to sunlight from the very beginning as I rooted cuttings in a sunroom without any cover. It can tolerate a wide range of temperature (45-75 degrees) and humidity (35-80%), which means an easier transition once this tree is introduced to a new environment.
I-258 is one of the cornerstone figs in my collection (along with Smith, Bourjasotte Grise, and RdB). The flavor is similar to Black Madeira but ripens much earlier. It's also known for producing brebas (all 100+ grams). It is worthy of having multiple trees.
About shipping:
I will be using the USPS Priority Mail. I can ship to all states except CA, HI, and AK due to local regulations. No international shipping.
