Vasalika Sika Bellaclair 🇬🇷 grown from a cutting

This strain of Vasilika Sika is a large green skin fig with a bright red interior.This VS is distinguished by long fingered leaves. This Greek fig was distributed by Bellaclair Nursery. 

In the U.S. there are two main varieties that go under the name of "Vasilika Sika". One is the Belleclare long fingered version . It produces oblong green figs with red pulp. Vasilika Sika (Belleclare) is a Dalmatie type like Stella but Vasilika Sika Round Leaf (VS e.g. from Vasile S.) is an Adriatic type  Dalmatie types should have the long fingered leaves The Bellacare  type is a nice large fig very sweet and rich. Vasilika Sika (BC) aka Stella/Dalmatie/White Greek or whatever it's called is a very high quality fig.  The VS strain range from a 25-cent piece up to a half-dollar in size and the crop is substantial. The flavor is of a very concentrated, pure strawberry, with a moderate nutty seed crunch. 

The first two photos is the actual tree being sold. This tree has been grown from a cutting started at the end of November.

In an effort to control the spread FMV by various mites, I have treated my trees with neem oil spray as a fungicide and with the spinoza Monterey Garden Spray as a miticide. Both are recommended for organic gardening. However as a precaution, I recommend that you isolate all new trees and plants from your collection for a short period of time to insure no issues. It is not unusual for fig trees to exhibit mild FMV.
