You are buying a well-rooted cutting of Negronne that is growing vigorously in a 9" x 4" tree pot. This was started in December.

Negronne is a common type of fig and does not need pollination by wasps.

Negronne is an excellent fig variety for cooler climates. It is considered to be the same or very similar to Violette de Bordeaux. It can also die back to the ground and still produce fruit the same year. I find that in Zone 6B it has good cold resistance.

Negronne has distinctively long finger-like leaves. The figs have a distinct long stem that points down as the fig ripens. The fruits are smaller, about 30–35 grams but can partially dry on the tree in good weather leading to a very rich and jammy berry flavor with that extra bit of "Bordeaux" type complexity.

I will be using UPS and will send you a tracking number once your package has been shipped.

I ship out our plants Monday or Tuesday to ensure that there are no shipping delays.

Due to the nature of FMV, it is best to assume my trees have been exposed. It is something that most plants quickly grow out of, but do not bid or buy if that concerns you.
