Description

Nuestra Senora del Carmen airlayer in a 4 x 9 treepot from my mother tree.  Lovely dark green to purple variety that grows vigorously and produces delicious thick berry figs with a red to dark red interior, depending on how long you allow then to hang.   Becomes more jammy as it ripens, a real treat.  Ripens in about 90 days in zone 7A, a mid season fig.

This plant has been fully acclimated to outdoor conditions, but I do recommend giving it some time in the shade to recover from shipping.

I have fruited this variety and it is 100% guaranteed true to type.  I assume that all of my trees have at some point been exposed to FMV, although proper care and feeding prevents outward symptoms.  I am JoePAFig on Ourfigs, feel free to contact me with questions.  My wife and I are gardening enthusiasts and operate a small hobby nursery, Fairmount Figs, licensed and inspected by the PA Department of Agriculture.

Return Policy
Cuttings: No returns/refunds/exchanges. Cuttings are harvested, discarded if subpar, disinfected, treated for mites, dried, end sealed and individually wrapped before selling. We select superior cuttings to increase your chances of success during rooting or grafting but statistically, not every cutting will root or take. The buyer accepts the responsibility for rooting and growing out the cutting after receiving their cuttings.---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Rooted cuttings and airlayers: Limited return/refund/exchange. We grow out our plants until they are stable and have a strong root system before offering them for sale. Plants are then robustly packaged with care to endure the rigors of shipment, however, live plants can become stressed from rough handling, elevated temperatures and extended transit times. If the predicted weather along the delivery route is unfavorable for shipment we welcome the buyer to contact us to delay shipment or choose an alternate delivery method. It is not unusual for plants to arrive drooping or with dropping leaves, but they typically recover and begin new growth after a couple of weeks in the shade and with resumed watering. Should the buyer receive a package which is damaged, the plant is dead on arrival or severely damaged, please take photos and contact us right away. We will be happy to work with you to resolve these situations as well as to offer guidance on helping stressed plants fully recover from shipment. Plants shipped with figlets may drop them from stress after receipt or from rough handling during shipment. Once a plant is received in satisfactory condition, the buyer accepts the responsibility of proper care of the plant.
