Item for sale:    Makedonia Dark rooted cutting in a 4" x 9" pot.

Makedonia Dark  is a mid season Mount Etna type fig for short season. This is the most productive fig tree on our farm. Superior cold hardiness and excellent taste. Cuttings are from in ground plants in Zone 6B,  Plants are cut down and winter protected in low tunnels. In summer plants grow to be 6-8 feet tall in a bush form with plenty of figs per plant. Source of mother plant is Big Bill at Off The Beaten Path Nursery. Bill grows Makedonia dark in ground non protected and his plants are thriving also.
