A Sangue - Summer Cutting

I have my nursery certificate and can ship to all states in the continental U.S. 

You are bidding on one summer cutting of the variety A Sangue.  The mother tree came from Harvey.  *This variety has not been confirmed to be common*  The information in Harvey’s description says that there have been reported cases of this variety ripening outside of wasp territory under long growing conditions.  I will be growing this variety in a hoop house to try and confirm if it is common.

This non-dormant, lignified cutting will be shipped within 48 hours of harvest.  The cuttings will have a minimum of 4 nodes, will be at least 6 inches long and will have a diameter between .3 and .7 inches.  Cuttings will be taken from the tree pictured.

In my experience summer or “green” cuttings will root as well as dormant cuttings.  I have tested storing fully lignified (will not bend easily) non-dormant cuttings in refrigeration and have successfully rooted cuttings that were stored for up to 3 months.  The cuttings you will receive are washed in a disinfectant, allowed to air dry and are then wrapped tightly in plastic wrap.  If you unwrap the cuttings upon receiving and then decide to store them, make sure they are completely dry before tightly re-wrapping them.  I will guarantee viability of my cuttings (they have not molded and are still green when scratched) for up to one month in refrigerated storage.  I cannot guarantee rooting success because everyone has different methods and there are many variables that go beyond the condition of the cutting.
